Using Your Macbook Pro to Connect Your Wii to the Internet

I just recently purchased a Nintendo Wii, and I was really looking forward to trying it out. Though fun was sure to ensue, I did have one small problem. I did not have a wireless router at home, nor was I particularly interested in buying a router, a LAN adapter, or a dongle... it didn’t look like I was going to be able to connect my new Wii to the Internet.

Well, turns out I was wrong! I read this forum post at Nintendo’s forums and thes e DS Wifi instructions at Pocket Gamer. Basically, they described how to configure my Wii to use my Macbook Pro’s built in Airport card. No dirty hacking or anything; just a couple System Preference settings, a coupl manual Wii Settings, and voila!

The instructions are a little vague in some places. Maybe I’ll flesh out the instructions better if people are interested in it.

Scammers doing the Dead Parrot Sketch

These scammers are scammed into doing a video sketch of a scam... yeah... this is pretty ironic.
