CRTC and SamKnows establish Measuring Broadband Canada program
CRTC is looking for 2600 volunteers to measure the broadband performance from multiple ISP from across Canada. Volunteers will be provided with a device that connects to their router and measures internet speed when users are not using their connection. In theory this should help monitor and report the actual speeds Canadians are getting based on what they are paying for, however in light of recent news this may not sound like the best option for Canadians.
