Destination Winnipeg

Destination Winnipeg (DW) features a custom Content Management System (early Catalyst) that allows for complete control of all the content within the site without the staff at DW needing to know (or learn) any HTML.

Working with DW over the last 3 years has been a pleasure. The results of our efforts speak for themselves, as destinationwinnipeg.ca has over 1,000,000 visits a year and ranks among the very top of the search engine results when looking for Winnipeg related things.

To enhance the site, over the past few years, we have added the following:

  • Itinerary System (built into the Events Calendar)
  • Photo Contest (which received over 2200 entries in the first year)
  • Getaways System (coming soon)

The team at DW updates the site on a daily basis and we are working with them to add several new sections and features to the site. Look for a blog post in the near future detailing the project, some specific hurdles and perhaps even a guest appearance from Lori at DW.
