We work on the Internet. As such, we are constantly consuming information. Believe me, there is a lot of it out there. Sometimes we even forget things unless we write them down. Our blog covers everything from web standards to the muppets, php to comic books, music and everything else that we find interesting. Leave us a note when you drop by.
It is that time of year again. The sun is warm. The days are long. There is a great big country out there just begging to be explored. As always, Visual Lizard will be maintaining normal business hours over the course of July and August, from 9am-5pm Monday through Friday
During those summer hours, we are going to be doing a little bit of exploring. The first stop on our Recharge Tour 2010 is an extended Canada Day. We are going to be closed on July 1st through July 4th this year so that we can enjoy an extra day with our families and friends. We encourage you to do the same!
Over the remainder of the summer we have trips planned to:
Thunder Bay, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal
the cottage (maybe a couple of times)
New Austin, Nuevo Paradiso, and Tall Pines
a golf course or two
and a few more which we haven’t decided on yet.
Never fear though, we will still be working as hard as always on your projects. There will be code written, logic tested, web standards adhered to and sites launched. Of course we will make sure that you are aware of any specific dates when people involved in your project are out of the office.
We look forward to seeing your pictures when we all get back in September. Keep those cameras handy and have fun!
Plot Summary: Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) is a scarred drifter and bounty hunter of last resort, a tough and stoic gunslinger who can track down anyone... and anything. Having survived death, Jonah’s violent history is steeped in myth and legend, and has left him with one foot in the natural world and one on the "other side." His only human connection is with Leila (Megan Fox), whose life in a brothel has left her with scars of her own. But Jonah’s past is about to catch up with him when the U.S. military makes him an offer he can’t refuse: in exchange for his freedom from the warrants on his head, he must track down and stop the dangerous terrorist Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich). But Turnbull, who is gathering an army and preparing to unleash Hell, is also Jonah’s oldest enemy and will stop at nothing until Jonah is dead. Based on the legendary graphic novel, "Jonah Hex" is an epic adventure thriller about one man’s personal quest for redemption against the vast canvas of the battle between good and evil.
Plot Summary: The creators of the beloved "Toy Story" films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of our favorite gang of toy characters in "Toy Story 3." As Andy prepares to depart for college, Buzz, Woody and the rest of his loyal toys are troubled about their uncertain future. Directed by Lee Unkrich (co-director of "Toy Story 2" and "Finding Nemo"), "Toy Story 3" is a comical new adventure in Disney Digital 3D that lands the toys in a room full of untamed tots who can’t wait to get their sticky little fingers on these "new" toys. It’s pandemonium as they try to stay together, ensuring "no toy gets left behind." Meanwhile, Barbie comes face to plastic face with Ken (yes, that Ken).
Plot Summary: Carnahan and the Scott brothers say they will use the original premise of the series as the template for an action film. In the original, four Vietnam vets convicted of armed robbery escape from military prison and became do-gooder mercenaries.
The Middle East will replace Vietnam as the place the four did their tour of duty, but Carnahan said the origin story is the jumping-off point.
The original series, which ran from 1983-87 and starred George Peppard, Mr. T, Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz, followed an unofficial team of Vietnam vets who will stop at nothing to get the bad guys. Sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit, these four commandos escaped from a maximum-security stockade and now survive in the Los Angeles underground as soldiers of fortune.
Stephen J. Cannell, who created the show, will produce the movie with Jules Daly, Ridley Scott, with Tony Scott executive producing through their Scott Free banner.
Also producing are and Stephen J. Cannell, the latter of whom created the original TV series.

Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen’s reign of terror.
