Visual Lizard worked with WinnipegREALTORS® to completely refresh their online presence. This includes refocusing the content and functionality into two branches: winnipegrealtors.ca covering the board and association, and winnipegrealestatenews.com targeted at consumers buying and selling real estate.
We collaborated closely with WinnipegREALTORS® information technology department, allowing us to build custom solutions to leverage their existing systems. Rather than requiring WinnipegREALTORS® to build or modify APIs to fit an off-the-shelf system, we integrated our Catalyst content management system to run off their databases on their hardware. WinnipegREALTORS® was happy to have a website that conformed to their workflows instead of the other way around.
The new winnipegrealestatenews.com uses Google Places and Google Maps to allow visitors to explore available properties in the Winnipeg Metropolitian Region. It rolls this new functionality with robust search, where you can filter over listing prices, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, floor space and land size, and key features. And when something peaks your interest, those finds can be compared against each other side-by-side, or favourited together to look over with your REALTOR® later.
REALTORs® and realtor broker offices now have their own unique presence on the site, with individual profile pages that feature biographies, languages spoken, specialities, and designations. And visitors can connect directly with a REALTOR® with a quick account registration, allowing the two to work closer together and help find that dream home!
