Google officially releases codename Ice Cream Sandwich (technically version 4.0.1, the one that will ship with the new Galaxy Nexus) over at its Android Open-Source Project git servers.
Apple has just release iOS 5.0.1 to the public, bringing fixes for battery life issues introduced with iOS 5. The release also brings several other enhancements including multitasking gestures for the original iPad.
Along with cutting 750 members of its workforce, Adobe announced that it will stop developing new mobile ports of its Flash player browser plugin. Instead, the company's mobile Flash development efforts will focus on AIR and tools for deploying Flash content as native applications.

Google Reader has been given a new sharper, minimalistic interface, and has been better attached to Google+. I kind of like it, and it's going to be this sort of app integration that is going to help Google's social network platform.
